Henry To'oTo'o: out for some time with shoulder injury

THE FACT. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that linebacker Henry To'oTo'o will be out for some time after hurting his shoulder in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 1 loss to Buffalo, per NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. To'oTo'o recorded two tackles before leaving and was seen wearing a sling afterward. Houston has not yet decided whether to put him on injured reserve. ESPN and Sports Illustrated reported the same timeline Monday.
THE VERDICT. IDP: bench To'oTo'o now and cut him in leagues that start fewer than three linebackers. An open-ended shoulder injury with an IR decision still pending is not worth the roster spot this early. The bigger play is the vacancy behind him. Houston already lost E.J. Speed for the season to a torn quad, so the Texans are down two off-ball linebackers and the replacement snaps carry real tackle volume. Watch Wednesday's practice report and the Texans' next roster move before spending FAAB, then add the winner. No redraft or DFS impact.
