Fernando Mendoza: Raiders weighing QB change, Kubiak says

THE FACT. Raiders coach Klint Kubiak said he is open to starting rookie No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza over Kirk Cousins, saying Las Vegas is thinking about everything to fix its problems after Sunday's 35-21 loss to the Rams, per ESPN's Ryan McFadden. Kubiak said he did not consider a change during the game because the Raiders kept it competitive late.

THE VERDICT. Cousins has not been the problem on paper, with 1,877 passing yards, a league-leading 16 touchdowns and five interceptions through seven games, so this reads as a 3-4 team floating a reset rather than an imminent benching. Redraft: hold Cousins and do not add him as a streamer while the job is in question. Dynasty: Mendoza's price jumps the day he is named, so buy now rather than after. DFS: fade the Las Vegas passing game until the starter is settled.
