THE FACT. 49ers rookie receiver De'Zhaun Stribling was ruled out of Thursday night's opener against the Rams in Melbourne after a non-contact left ankle injury on a route in the first half, per Yahoo Sports' Eric Edholm. He could not put weight on the leg, needed help to the medical tent and was carted to the locker room with San Francisco leading 10-7; he had not yet been targeted.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: Stribling, the 33rd overall pick, was a deep-league flier off an 11-catch preseason, and a cart-off ankle injury means you can cut him in 12-team formats until imaging comes back. With Ricky Pearsall already out for the year, the 49ers are thin at receiver, which only raises the target floor for Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle. Dynasty: hold, the draft capital is real and the news is hours old. DFS: pull him from any Sunday-Monday showdown slates that include San Francisco carryover.
