Chiefs: Josh Simmons, Chamarri Conner miss Thursday practice

THE FACT. Left tackle Josh Simmons (back) and safety Chamarri Conner (knee) did not practice Thursday, and Andy Reid said there is a good chance Simmons sits Monday against Denver, with undrafted rookie Kahlil Benson the likely fill-in, per Chiefs On SI's Joshua Brisco on Thursday, Sept. 10. Reid had already called Conner a stretch to play in the opener.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: No direct fantasy asset here, but a rookie tackle against Denver's edge rushers is a knock on Mahomes, Kelce and Rashee Rice. Keep them all in lineups and lower the ceiling. DFS: Denver's edge rushers are a strong showdown play, and fade Mahomes' rushing props. IDP: Conner is off the board; the Chiefs' other safeties absorb the snaps and are only DB3 dart throws Monday.
