Adonai Mitchell: in line for Jets targets with Cooper out

Mitchell caught all three of his targets for 60 yards in Week 1 and is the Jets receiver most likely to absorb the work freed up by Omar Cooper Jr.'s high ankle sprain, per Sports Illustrated's Thomas Carelli on Monday afternoon. Carelli puts Cooper's absence at a minimum of three games and possibly more than six, and models Mitchell's share of the Jets passing yards rising from 14 percent to roughly 18.5 percent.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: add him in 14-team and deeper formats at 3 to 5 percent FAAB, and leave him on your bench. A perfect three-for-three on limited volume is efficiency, not a role, and Carelli's own Week 2 range of WR55 to WR70 tells you this is a stash with a three-week runway rather than a lineup answer. Dynasty: buy now while the price is still a bench receiver, because the snaps he takes over the next month are the audition that sets his 2027 value. DFS: fade him in cash and leave him to large-field tournaments until a target count above five confirms the projected share is real.
