A.J. Brown: no surgery, roughly six weeks out (ankle)

THE FACT. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday afternoon that Brown will not need surgery on the high ankle sprain he suffered in the Patriots' season opener against Seattle. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport put the absence at roughly six weeks on Sunday's GameDay Morning, a longer runway than the four-plus weeks that was initially reported last week.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: move him to IR if your league has the slot and do not cut him, because a six-week high ankle sprain still returns him in time for the fantasy stretch run. Kyle Williams is the add that matters and should be rostered everywhere at 20% FAAB, with DeMario Douglas the PPR-only fallback. Dynasty: buy the panic if a Brown manager is spiraling, since the price on a receiver at this tier will not get lower. DFS: New England's passing game is uninvestable until the target distribution settles.
