Patriots: three defenders questionable for Thursday night game

THE FACT. New England listed safeties Kevin Byard III (chest) and Craig Woodson (shoulder) and linebacker Christian Elliss (chest) as questionable on Wednesday's injury report ahead of Thursday night's game at Chicago, per the team's official site and CBS Sports. Right tackle Morgan Moses (foot) is questionable as well.

THE VERDICT. Three questionable defenders on a short week is a secondary that could look very different by kickoff. IDP: treat all three as game-time decisions and avoid them in any lineup you cannot change late, because a questionable tag on a short week often means a rotational workload. DFS: fade the trio and look instead at Chicago pass catchers, who stand to benefit if New England is down two safeties. The Patriots have already ruled out five players for this game.
