Landon Dickerson: Eagles place guard on IR (knee)

THE FACT. The Eagles placed left guard Landon Dickerson on injured reserve on Monday, Sept. 14, with a bone bruise in his right knee, per NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk and the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane. Dickerson said publicly that he was a liability in Week 1 and that the move was the right call; the designation keeps him out a minimum of four games, with an October 18 return the earliest realistic date. Drew Kendall is expected to take over at left guard.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: Dickerson is not a rostered asset, so the damage here is to the Philadelphia run game around him. Kendall is a 2025 fifth-round pick getting his first extended look at guard, and interior line churn is the cleanest predictor of a stalled short-yardage attack. Downgrade Eagles rushing expectations near the goal line for the next month and treat Philadelphia's ground matchup as neutral rather than plus. DFS: fade the cheap Eagles run-game pieces until Kendall proves he holds up.
