Kerby Joseph: Campbell expects him to play this season

THE FACT. Lions coach Dan Campbell said Tuesday he expects safety Kerby Joseph to play this season but would not attach a timetable, per ProFootballTalk's Josh Alper. Campbell also said Joseph is doing well, according to Athlon Sports, which reported Detroit placed him on the physically unable to perform list before the season with a knee issue that has kept him out every game so far. Yahoo Sports reported the same comments Tuesday.

THE VERDICT. This is the warmest Campbell has been on Joseph all year, but no timetable means no startable date. IDP: Joseph is a former first-team All-Pro, per Athlon Sports, and he is worth a stash in deep IDP leagues that have IR or bench room to spare. He cannot be counted on for Week 7, and probably not Week 8 either, so do not drop a producing starter to hold him. Dynasty: hold, and take the call if a manager who has written off the season offers him cheap. Redraft and DFS have nothing to act on here.
