Jaleel McLaughlin: Browns promote back to active roster

THE FACT. The Browns signed running back Jaleel McLaughlin to the active roster Tuesday, per RotoWire, the same day they placed Dylan Sampson on injured reserve with a knee injury. McLaughlin, listed at No. 38 on Cleveland's official roster, had been on the practice squad.

THE VERDICT. Quinshon Judkins is still the clear lead back and this does not change that. What it changes is the depth behind him: with Sampson on IR, McLaughlin joins Raheim Sanders as the only other backs on the 53. Redraft: speculative add only, 2-3% FAAB, and mainly for Judkins managers who want the handcuff. Dynasty: no action. DFS: fade until he shows a role.
