Dylan Sampson: activated from injured reserve, no injury status

THE FACT. The Browns activated running back Dylan Sampson from injured reserve on Saturday and attached no injury status to him for Sunday's game at Tennessee, per the team's official site. Cleveland opened the roster spot by placing guard Teven Jenkins on injured reserve with a back injury. Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reported the same set of moves Saturday.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: a speculative add rather than a plug-and-play starter. No designation means he is fully available, but Saturday's reporting does not define his workload, so treat him as a flex gamble in deep leagues only. Waiver Wire: claim now at 3-5% FAAB in 12-team leagues before someone else does it for free. Dynasty: hold or buy. A knee that no longer carries a designation is the cheapest he will be. DFS: fade in cash games, tournament punt only.

Reading this one differently. Sampson got hurt in the opener and has sat five straight games, so he is the freshest back Cleveland has, and he is the better pass catcher of the two. Judkins is the one carrying an ankle that cost him Week 6 and had him limited Wednesday. RotoWire was calling Sampson and Judkins Cleveland's top two backfield options Saturday, which is not how you describe a deep league flex gamble. I am bidding closer to 10 percent and flexing him in twelve teamers. In DFS that is leverage, not a fade.
